Traditional tour in Cusco
Itinerary: from 9:00am to 2:00pm
Frequency: Every Day
We pick up our passengers from their respective hotels at approximately 8:30am, after which we make our way to:
Maras: The picturesque town of Maras is a multicolored, whimsical example of nature. It is also home to the salt mines, Salineras, one of the most important minerals of the region which has been extracted since the times of the Incas. This was where the first production center of salt was in the southern part of the sierras.
This extremely nice population is located 46 Km
from the city of Cusco, in the province of Urubamba, and has
conserved a large part of its colonial architecture. You can
appreciate extraordinary walls that were the product of extremely
talented and fine labor in stone.
Moray: This is a formidable archaeological complex
made up of a system of platforms and enormous terraces taking the
form of a gigantic amphitheater. These terraces form a massive
agricultural production center/laboratory in which the ancient
Peruvians experimented with new farming techniques. They made
incredible advances in agricultural technology, which was he basis
of their economic development. We then return to Cusco.
